The fishing is fair on Guntersville. Winter has been mild thus far and that has helped to keep a few fish shallow and willing to bite. If these mild conditions continue it could help the spring fishing return to the quality it was a few years ago.
The past couple of weeks have been a roller coaster as for as numbers go. My best day I had 26 keepers and the worse days I have had to really work to catch 5. Rattlebaits and shallow crankbaits have been working best for me. There are still some fish being caught around bridges with A-rigs, but I've been trying to stay away from that. The water temperature has been staying around 50 degrees. Spring is coming soon and I am starting to book some trips. To get your preferred date, book now. I am looking forward to all of the lunkers that the new year will bring!
BEST FISHES!!!

It's hot on Guntersville Lake and so is the fishing . We fished the Airport Marine Team Trail here Saturday and had a good day. We won the 61 boat tournament with 23.26 lbs. Overall the weights were low with only one other 20 lb stringer weighed in the tournament. We caught 20 keepers plus some short fish. Our biggest fish were a pair of 5.72 lbers.
